Heavy traffic is expected on the Fairfax Campus for regional high school graduation ceremonies at EagleBank Arena from May 29 through June 18. EagleBank will host up to three ceremonies on many days, so traffic will be entering and exiting campus from 8 a.m. until 10 p.m. Please allow extra travel time on and near campus.

Contractors for Fairfax County will complete a routine survey of sewer lines on Mason’s Fairfax Campus over the next four weeks. This will require intermittent road and sidewalk closures as crews move around campus.

Helicopter landings are scheduled at the West Campus parking lot on the Fairfax Campus on two upcoming dates, as part of ROTC training exercises.

The elevator in the Aquatic and Fitness Center (AFC) at George Mason University is currently out of service for repairs. These repairs are expected to continue for at least 30 days.

On the evenings of Wednesday, March 13, and Thursday, March 14, there will be an increased volume in traffic on and around the Fairfax Campus, as well as an increase in on-campus parking, due to events at EagleBank Arena, with 5,000 attendees expected.

Road and sidewalk closures will be in effect on the Fairfax Campus during spring break. HVAC maintenance is also scheduled in the Johnson Center.

A section of sidewalk on Patriot Circle just north of the intersection with Shenandoah River Lane will be closed for repairs on Wednesday, Feb. 28, from 6 a.m. to noon. The sidewalk on the west side of Patriot Circle will remain open.

The internal directional signage is under repair in David King Hall and Exploratory Hall on the Fairfax Campus, and in Colgan Hall on the SciTech Campus.

Rivanna River Way and nearby sidewalks have reopened near the Hub. Repairs are complete after a water main break. The ADA ramp at the main entrance to the Hub is also available.

On George Mason University's Fairfax Campus, Rivanna River Way is temporarily closed near the Hub for repairs after a water main break. Sections of sidewalk at the main entrance to the Hub are currently closed, including the ADA ramp at that location.
