George Mason University Commencement and Degree Celebrations will be hosted on the Fairfax Campus from Thursday, May 18, through Saturday, May 20. Heavy traffic is expected on campus between 8 a.m. and 9 p.m. each day. 

Road striping crews  will be on the Fairfax Campus May 1-16 to remark directional striping, crosswalks and other road markings.

Contractors will complete repairs and renovations to sidewalks, curbs, and ramps throughout the SciTech Campus from Monday, May 1, through Friday, May 5.

Contractors will be on site to perform sidewalk repairs on the Fairfax Campus from April 17 to May 1. Work will occur Monday–Friday between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m., weather permitting.

Contractors will be on site from Thursday, April 13, to Tuesday, April 25, to repair sidewalks on the Fairfax Campus.

The sidewalk along the west side of David King Hall (closest to the Johnson Center) is currently closed, and the closure is extended through Tuesday, April 25, while utility work is performed. 

An ROTC training exercise will occur on the Fairfax Campus on Thursday, March 30. Contractors will perform sidewalk repairs around Patriot Circle from Thursday, March 30, through Friday, April 14.

Pedestrian pathways will be demolished and replaced on the Fairfax Campus from Tuesday, March 21, through Saturday, March 25.

Campus Drive and Rapidan River Road will be milled and repaved from March 20–24. Work will occur between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m., weather permitting. Traffic changes will be in effect.

Various roadways on the Fairfax Campus will be milled and repaved from March 13–18. Work will occur between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m., weather permitting.

Intermittent road closures will be in effect at Mason Square until March 10, 2023.
